Unlock uninterrupted, 24/7 additive manufacturing with the Vertigo MK1 by Automated Layers, brought to you in an official manufacturing partnership with LDO Systems. Purpose-built to eliminate the single greatest bottleneck in commercial 3D printing—manual human intervention—the Vertigo MK1 integrates blistering CoreXY print speeds with a revolutionary, mechanical parts-ejection system. It is the ultimate production-grade workhorse for high-volume print farms, localized batch manufacturing, and rapid prototyping laboratories.
Say goodbye to manual bed scraping, surface prep aerosols, and production downtime. The Vertigo MK1 automatically clears its own build deck and immediately initializes the next queued project file, running continuously through massive multi-part project queues. When paired with high-capacity 5 kg material spools or automated multi-material handling systems, you can comfortably execute hundreds of production hours without touching the machine frame.
💡 Open-Source Assembly Note: As a high-performance open-source kit, the core structural package includes all premium LDO electronics, high-torque motors, and precision kinematics. Structural plastic enclosure elements and toolhead shrouds are not included, allowing you to print your own via the official community source files.
Think beyond a single print: the Vertigo MK1 is built for continuous production. At the end of a print cycle, its signature automation sequence mechanically articulates the entire 400W heated print surface to a full vertical 90-degree tilt. Integrated forced-air cooling ducts blast the sheet to rapidly hit release temperatures, while a dual-action nylon scraper sweeps under first-layer heights—safely guiding parts into a collection bin without marring the PEI surface or harming finished prints.
Driven by premium Berserker linear guide rails, unreinforced genuine Gates timing belts, and specialized LDO high-temperature steppers. This ultra-rigid motion system delivers precise linear motion and massive torque, keeping tolerances incredibly tight and print quality rock-solid under aggressive accelerations and extreme speeds.
Designed specifically to handle demanding engineering plastics, the Vertigo MK1 multi-tasks by utilizing its forced-air bed cooling array to actively heat the chamber. By circulating warm air from the high-output build plate, it holds internal ambient temperatures up to 50°C. This stable, elevated environment drastically reduces warping and layer separation for high-performance filaments like ABS and ASA, while still allowing the bed to reach target profiles quickly.
Armed with an ultra-reliable direct-feed configuration featuring an integrated reciprocating mechanical filament cutter. This setup completely prevents toolhead jams during high-speed retractions, facilitates seamless material shedding, and pairs perfectly with multi-color multi-material docking setups for complex technical builds.
